Summer Seminar of Bulgarian Language and Culture for Foreign Scholars and Students

The 57th Summer Seminar of Bulgarian Language and Culture for Foreign Scholars and Students will be held from July 14 to August 3, 2019 at the National Training Center of the Bulgarian Red Cross.

The summer seminar on Bulgarian studies for foreign Bulgarians and Slavists at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski " was established in 1963. It is held annually with the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria and Sofia University. The overall preparation, organization and conduct of the seminar is entrusted to the Faculty of Slavic Philology.

The seminar is aimed mainly at foreign students, scientists, teachers and translators working professionally in Bulgarian language and culture, but also at humanists and businessmen who need knowledge of the language and knowledge of the history, culture and current state of Bulgarians. for other activities.

The ethnic, religious and racial diversity of the participants in the Summer University predetermines, along with the priority Bulgarian-centric nature of the Seminar, to create an international spirit of mutual understanding and friendship.
