10th Anniversary of the first flight between Doha and Sofia - Official dinner

We will resume direct flights between Doha and Sofia starting from December this year, "said His Excellency Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways.

For the last ten years, flights between Sofia and Doha have given a tremendous impetus to the development of the trade relations, and today Qatar Airways Cargo offers over 10 tons of cargo capacity each week in each direction along the route.

The Hamad International Airport has been recognised as "The Best Airport in the World in 2021". Qatar Airways is the first airline in the world to receive the prestigious five-star Skytrax rating for COVID-19 airline safety. The Hamad International Airport is the first in the Middle East and Asia to receive the same rating.
