VIII NATIONAL CONGRESS OF THE BULGARIAN ASSOCIATION OF NEUROSONOLOGY AND CEREBRAL HEMODYNAMICS

The 7th Congress of BSNCH was under the theme of "Innovations in the treatment of cerebral stroke", and they were discussed by leading specialists from 7 countries. 120 delegates examined various aspects of the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of vascular diseases of the nervous system, which continue to be the second cause of death in Bulgaria.

During the congress in 2021 the new edition of "Textbook of Nervous Diseases" was presented. Clinical Neurology" with the participation of 34 authors from various fields of medicine. The publication is devoted to diseases of the nervous system and is a continuation of the textbook on general neurology. It aims to provide an adequate volume of theoretical and practical knowledge for diagnosis, specific therapy, behavior, intensive treatment, prevention, expert assessment of working capacity and dispensation of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system.

The acquired knowledge is an integral part of the requirements for outpatient and specialized medical care in nervous diseases and is aimed at forming practical skills for independent diagnostic-therapeutic, consultative and expert activity in neurology.

The textbook was created as an interdisciplinary guide intended for students of medicine, medical rehabilitation and kinesitherapy, general practitioners, specialists in various fields of medicine, specialists and doctoral students, whose compulsory curriculum includes the disciplines "Nervous diseases" and "Kinesitherapy in nervous and mental illness'.

In the framework of the Eighth Congress of BSNCH in the period 21-23 October 2022, the Management Board aims to make the publication even more open to other disciplines and to familiarize neurosonologists with innovations and novelties in the field.
