Two postgraduate training courses will be combined in the Academy of Molecular Uropathology, organized by the Bulgarian Alliance for Personalized and Precision Medicine and Pleven Medical University, where you will have the opportunity to be part of the special training and upgrading program together with leading scientists and teachers .
Emphasis will be on: premalignant conditions/precursors/ and tumors of the prostate gland. Current WHO histological classification of prostate gland tumors and urothelial tumors. TNM classification. The application of immunohistochemistry in diagnostics. Prognostic factors.
The guest speaker will be Prof. George J. Netto, an internationally recognized clinical scientist and head of the Department of Pathology at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Birmingham, USA.
Prof. Netto has made significant contributions to the evaluation of molecular biomarkers as potential markers in the detection, prognosis and therapeutic targeting of urological malignancies, as well as in the molecular diagnosis of solid tumors.
