New Event had the pleasure of organizing the 10th anniversary of the first flight from Doha to Sofia of Qatar Airways.

On December 16, 2021, the direct flights between Doha and Sofia of the Qatar Airways were resumed. The event was marked with an official welcome at Sofia Airport and a cocktail ceremony. 

"We are proud that for 10 years we have been operating regular flights to Bulgaria and connecting your beautiful country with our global network. Even when we started flying to Sofia, I was convinced that we were starting a strong and lasting relationship. Over the years, we have become convinced that our flights to Bulgaria go beyond our mission to gather people. They allow passengers from all over the world to experience Bulgarian hospitality and touch your cultural history, and support the export of Bulgarian products around the world. We will resume direct flights between Doha and Sofia from December this year, " said Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways.

The event was also marked with a festive program and decoration on Gala dinner, which took place on December 18, 2021 at the Hyatt Residency Hotel.
