The event was held on April 28 and 29, 2022 in the city of Sofia, Bulgaria in Best Western Hotel Plus Expo, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS).

The debate is part of the "Youth Agenda 2027 - empowered young women in the spirit of active citizenship and European values - VIRAGO" project, financed under the "Erasmus +" Program of the European Union. The project is aimed at young women between the ages of 18 and 29.

"Our goal is to encourage young women to participate more actively in democratic and social processes," said Diana Ivanova, the deputy minister of youth and sports, at the opening of the debate.

"In our modern society, young women have many opportunities to participate in all areas of public life, to hold leadership positions in national and international organizations and to be successful leaders. Successful examples in every field can be pointed out, but the fundamental thing is the building of skills and key competences", said Deputy Minister Ivanova.

 On the first day of the event, the lecturer Snezhana Kostadinova presented to the audience the main elements of the European youth policy, including the EU Youth Strategy for the period 2019-2027. A debate was also held on the topic "The Way Forward", in which took part participants of the youth mobilities under the project
