GRADUATION OF THE SOFIA UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF LAW
On June 10, masters in "Law" from the Faculty of Law of Sofia University (SU) "Kliment Ohridski" took the oath and received their diplomas at a special ceremony in the park of the Military Academy "G.S. Rakovski".
At the beginning of the event, the dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Daniel Valchev, welcomed the young lawyers. He urged them never to put up with vulgarity and not allow others to demean the law.
The Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria, Diana Kovacheva, said that law is a vocation. The search for justice is deeply rooted in every person, she pointed out. „Keep your humanity and empathy“, she addressed the young lawyers.
Prof. Dr. Sasho Penov delivered an academic speech in which he emphasized that law is the art of being good and fair. The head of the "G.S. Rakovski" Military Academy, Gen. Major Todor Dochev also congratulated the lawyers. According to him, the military, athletes and lawyers are alike in that they always strive for victory.
The Deputy Rector of the SU Assoc. Dr. Georgi Valchev congratulated the students and announced the graduating class. After him, the valedictorian of the graduating class, Maria Stefanova, gave a speech. She wished satisfaction and inspiration to her colleagues: "Be an example to others, be yourself, but, colleagues, always strive to be the best version of you," she told her fellow students.
