On March 25th, 2025, the MPC Alliance Workshop took place at Grand Hotel Millennium in Sofia, Bulgaria, co-located with Real World Crypto 2025. The event brought together experts from across the globe to explore real-world applications of secure multiparty computation (MPC) and share insights on this rapidly evolving field.

The workshop was sponsored in part by MPC Alliance member companies, including Silence Laboratories, Cybernetica, Nillion, and Dfns.

A central theme of the workshop was the emphasis on privacy-preserving technologies. Throughout RWMPC and RWC, discussions highlighted the increasing use of advanced cryptographic tools, such as zero-knowledge proofs, anonymous credentials, homomorphic encryption, differential privacy, and secure multiparty computation. These conversations, both in presentations and informal “hallway track” discussions, reflected the cryptographic community’s commitment to empowering users with greater control over their personal data.

The event demonstrated that privacy and security are becoming central considerations in the development of modern digital systems, with MPC serving as a foundational technology enabling secure collaboration without compromising sensitive information.
