AAM-INFRAMAT 2025
Welcome to the AAM-INFRAMAT Conference, Varna, Bulgaria, 23–27 September 2025!
We are excited to announce the upcoming international conference "Ancient and Advanced Materials: Bridging Science and Cultural Heritage" (AAM-INFRAMAT), which will take place in Grifid Encanto Beach Hotel (Golden Sands), Varna, Bulgaria, from 23 to 27 September 2025.
This conference aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue between experts in materials science, archaeology, and in conservation and preservation of cultural heritage. By bringing together researchers and practitioners from diverse fields, AAM-INFRAMAT 2025 seeks to explore the intricate relationship between ancient materials and modern knowledge in materials science, bridging the past and the future through scientific inquiry. It aims to highlight research innovative methodologies, and collaborative approaches that address both the characterization of advanced materials and the study of ancient materials that is necessary for adequate preservation of the cultural goods and understanding of their origin.
Through keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations, the conference will provide a platform for exchanging ideas, discussions, sharing best practices, and fostering international partnerships.
We warmly invite researchers, scholars, and professionals to join us in Varna for this unique opportunity to collaborate, learn, and shape the future of cultural heritage and material science.

Deadlines
June 20th, 2025 – for notification on accepted oral and poster contributions
August 10th, 2025 – for possible cancelation of reservations for registered participants supported by INFRAMAT *
August 10th, 2025 – for payment participation fees of participants and accompanying persons not supported by INFRAMAT **
* Participants that changed their intention for participation but did not cancel their application until that date will be charged according to the cancellation policy for hotel reservations specified in the contract of IPC with the conference organizer.
** Participation in the conference will be cancelled if the fees are not paid until this date. The participation fee covers accommodation for four nights, full board, coffee breaks, welcome party, official conference dinner, social event and conference materials. The fee per participant or accompanying person amounts to:
Accommodation in single room: 990.- BGN
Accommodation in double room: 910.- BGN
