The Sixth European Conference on Crystal Growth (ECCG6) is organized by the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the European Network of Crystal Growth. The conference will be held in September 16-20, 2018 in Riviera Holiday Club, Varna, Bulgaria. As a satellite event the Second European School on Crystal Growth for young researchers and PhD students (ESCG2) will take place in September 13-16, 2018 at the same place.
Both ECCG6 and ESCG2 are dedicated to the famous Bulgarian scholar in crystal growth Iwan N. Stranski. Professor Stranski (1897-1979) played a crucial role in the last century in setting up the theoretical fundamentals of nucleation and crystal growth phenomena.
The aim of ECCG6 is to promote discussions and stimulate fundamental and applied research in the field of crystal growth and to encourage multidisciplinary approach to scientific problems closely related to the demands of the society in different fields of modern life, such as microelectronics, photonics, pharmaceutical and chemical material production, healthcare etc. The Conference also intends to promote the meeting of researchers coming from public and private entities and to facilitate the cooperation between academia and industry.
